English Volunteers for Change (EVOLC) in Costa Rica

English Volunteers for Change (EVOLC) in Costa Rica is the very best organization for volunteer teaching English in the country! Our program is unique in that we provide free English classes where there is an immediate need to learn the language. Our volunteer teachers offer classes to children and/or adults in rural/impoverished communities, tourism communities, public schools, as well as organizations and businesses in the public and private sector. By learning and improving the English language skills, students are able to acquire better paying jobs, more career opportunities, a better education, and overall enrich their lives and enhance their futures.
EVOLC emerged from a government sponsored initiative, Costa Rica Multilingüe, which seeks to improve the country’s economic competiveness by increasing the number of English speakers in Costa Rica, and ultimately create a multilingual country before 2020.
