Gothenburg International School

The International School of Gothenburg is a K-12 school providing a safe, secure and dynamic, environment that prepares students for a successful future!

The International School of Gothenburg, ISGR, was founded in 1997 with 184 students; to meet the needs of the growing number of expatriate families coming to Gothenburg requiring an International Education for their children.

In 2002 the International High School of the Gothenburg Region was developed and so today we offer the International Baccalaureate Programme alongside a National Program, taught in Swedish, and a Social Science and Natural Science programme taught in English to over 1,000 students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. In August 2008 we introduced the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and are, therefore, an IB world school offering the full IB continuum of learning with three programmes PYP K-5, MYP 6-10 and IBDP – 11 & 12.Due to Programme expansion and the increased need of English Language,ESL has been added to our curriculum.
