1~12 Months Contract Available in a Beautiful City Changwon, Masan District
We are looking for professional-minded people who want to learn the core values of EFL/ESL instruction in a safe, reliable and very rewarding environment.
ECC Masan opened in 1997, and is now recognized as the most professional English school for children in the Masan district of Chang-won city of Kyungnam province (Masan, Changwon and Jinhae cities have been combined as Changwon City since last July and currently has a population of approximately 1,005,000). Recently, it changed its name to you & I English School (YIES). More than 80 foreign teachers have successfully completed rewarding contracts at the school over the last 14 years, of whom about a half ended up returning to Korea to take up more advanced positions and 22 returned to ECC Masan itself to undertake follow-up contracts. In the bewildering world of English language teacher recruitment in Korea and its associated confusing array of contract details and benefits/drawbacks, those statistics are very important. The owners of this school know how to take care of their foreign teachers down to the smallest detail, and they are proud of the friendly relationships they still maintain with teachers who have finished contracts with them. The Basics of the YIES Contract are:
- 2.1 million won for 100 hours teaching - No split shifts)
- Medical and Dental Insurance supplied
- More than 10 vacation days in addition to Korean national public holidays
(more than 22 voction days if you work at a kindergarten)
- A clean individual accommodation close to school (Air- conditioner, the fastest internet, TV, Laundry machine, Telephone¡¦etc)
- Airfare supplied and paid up front before your departure
- Severance (1 month salary) pay (just for 12months contract)
At the moment, there is 1 job position which starts from Jun of 2011 and 2 job positions which start from July at Changwon city Masan district. The positions involve teaching children aged 7-15, with the bulk of the students being aged 9-13. The school has very organized curriculum so teachers are not required to make lesson plan.
The owner speaks excellent English, and more importantly, has an excellent understanding of Western culture and thinking. He is always on hand to take you to the doctor or bank to send money home, or to adjust or fix anything you might need with respect to your accommodation. He will also help you to organize travel trips within Korea or to neighboring countries like Hong kong Japan, Thailand and China during your vacation periods.
Most importantly of all, YIES is extremely proud of its history and track record in terms of seeing foreign teachers complete successful contracts and leave happily and confidently in their ability to teach English as a foreign language to Young Learners.
