Compass IELTS is looking for energetic, and dedicated teachers for an immediate start in Tianjin. We offer intensive Chinese language courses taught by ICA-qualified teachers to those candidates wishing to learn Mandarin. We also offer an internationally-recognized TESOL course to those candidates wishing to improve their teaching qualifications.

Contract terms consist of 90 teaching hours per month and no office hours. Teachers receive 2 days off per week, with usually one of those days being Saturday or Sunday.

REQUIREMENTS

- hold a university degree in any discipline

- at least 2 years teaching experience

- be between 25-45 years of age

- be a native English speaker holding a passport from one of the following countries--The UK, The USA, Canada, New Zealand, the Republic of Ireland, or Australia.

- Responsible, energetic, and easy to communicate

- CELTA, TESOL or TEFL Certificate preferred

COMPENSATION

- a competitive salary based upon qualifications and experience (9000 - 11000 RMB per month)

ABOUT US

Compass IELTS was established in 1999 and has since served as the premier education institution in Tianjin for students to improve their English proficiency in order to do well on the IELTS test and flourish when studying, working, or travelling abroad. Compass IELTS is also a training and testing centre for the American TESOL Institute's TESOL course and the International Chinese Language Teachers Association's (ICA) Certifications.

Students at Compass are very enthusiastic about learning English and genuinely interested in learning about foreign culture. Class sizes are small, with an average of eight students ranging in age from 16–35 years of age. Classes include General English and IELTS Preparation classes. Each classroom is fully-equipped with a projector, computer, and digital whiteboard, in addition to other modern teaching equipment. We have around 10 Chinese teachers and 5 Foreign teachers who work together to teach classes. Our working atmosphere is friendly and co-operative, with foreign management to help you with any professional or personal difficulties.
