ESL teachers wanted in Yangzhou city, JIangsu province, nearby Shanghai.

Students 3-12 years old, small class size. one year contract.

A little about the job and the city. Yangzhou is a medium sized city just north of Shanghai and near Nanjing, being about 2 hours from the former and an hour from the latter. The city has all of the amenities of the larger cities but not all of the hassle. We have several Starbucks', a Pizza Hut, Burger King and several other western style restaurants and modern shopping centers. The locals are overly friendly and the city’s history dating back over 2500 years lends itself to a tangible sense of authenticity in a rapidly modernizing China. A patchwork of winding streets and quiet gardens, one will find the old city center is crisscrossed with ancient canals and sleepy neighborhoods to wander through.

The pay package is 13,600rmb/month, along with 5000rmb flight allowance, as well as a 3000rmb end of contract bonus. Just for reference 1$ is about 6rmb and in this city, a typical apartment is about 1300-1800 per month. We work a max of 120hrs per month so there is plenty of time to pursue a hobby or learn Mandarin(being free). Compared to the bigger cities most people are really able to save quite a lot. We offer plenty of training and have a team of about 15 other teachers currently working with us.
