2 English Teachers Needed for Private International Kindergarten - Great Benefit

 
We are looking to employ 2 EAL teachers for the bilingual division at GEM international preschool in Deyang, Sichuan, China. This is a perfect opportunity to discover a different way of thinking by immersing yourself into a whole new culture. Deyang is a small city of 2 million people which is located 30 minutes away from one of China's trendiest cities; Chengdu – home of the pandas!

This job will offer the following:

• 8000 RMB/month salary – with a 1 year service raise of an extra 2000 RMB per month

• A fully furnished apartment (up to 2000 rmb per month)

• Visa costs paid for

• Return flight reimbursed on completion of contract

• A personal assistant to overcome any barriers created by language in day to day life

• An English speaking work environment

• A possibility of promotion to be a core teacher, offering a starting salary of 12,300 RMB.

The school has been open for 1 year and achieved the equivalent of an “Outstanding” in the Chinese equivalent of an Ofsted exam. In 1 year it is expected that we will be competing to be one of the best schools in China, so the person we are looking for must be passionate about education and have experience working with preschool aged children. We require for this role:

• A bachelor’s degree

• At least 1 year of experience working with similar age groups.

• Experience of teaching children with English as their second language experience would be preferable

• Warm and friendly attitude towards young children

• A TEFL certificate is preferred but not required

The original contract is for one year and it is not necessary to speak Chinese for this job.
