2 Full-time Teachers for Huilongguan Center & 1 Full-time Teacher for Shangdi Ce

Field Education is a rapidly expanding educational company in Beijing; we have language centers in Shangdi and Huilongguan. We specialize in the education of young learners between the ages of 2-12. Our first level of classes for students between the ages of 2 and 3 essentially functions as a “Mommy and Me” class. Our next level of classes is our Pre-K level classes. We have 3 Pre-K levels starting with Pre-K 1 for students around 4 to 5 years old. Next is our Pre-K 2 class for student around 5 years old. Finally, our Pre-K 3 classes for student 5 to 6 years old. As our Pre-K level classes finish we will expand grade by grade until we have courses for children up to around age 12.

We at Field Education are education centered and place our emphasis on the needs of the child, rather than the needs of the parents, teachers and the company. We are looking for two full-time teachers for our Huilongguan center (training will take place in our Shangdi center) and one full-time teacher for our Shangdi center. The requirements for the positions are as follows:

1. Native or near-native proficiency in English.

2. A BA degree or above (preferably in English, Education, English Education, ESL or Linguistics)

3. At least 2 years of professional teaching experience (experience with young learners preferred).

4. TESOL/TEFL Certificate preferred.

5. At least 2 references from past employers in the education field.

Details for the position are as follows:

1. 40 Working Hours a week (3 weekdays and 2 weekend days with 2 consecutive days off during the week).

2. Up to 30 Academic Sessions of contact teaching time per week (1 Academic Session is equal to 45 minutes, most classes, excluding the “Mommy and Me” classes are 2 Academic Sessions long with a 10-20 minute break between sessions) including scheduled classes, makeup classes, demonstration classes and scheduled marketing activity classes.

3. Until we establish your reliability and professionalism as an educator, office hours are required. You will be expected to prepare and write out lesson plans, which are to be turned in by Sunday for the following week’s classes. In addition to lesson planning you will be expected to prepare any additional resources, outside of those provided by our company that you deem necessary for the successful completion of your classes during those office hours.

We offer:

1. 10,000-15,000RMB as a monthly gross salary depending on English proficiency and teaching experience

2. A 6-month and 12-month performance bonuses (contingent on successfully performing all job duties as detailed in the Contract, Appendices to the Contract and the Field Education Teacher’s Handbook) for a 1-year contract.
