Academic Manager Needed in Shanghai at the world's largest publisher and distributor of children's books and a leader in educational technology and related services and children's media

Scholastic creates quality books, print and technology-based learning materials and programs, magazines, multi-media and other products that help children learn both at school and at home.

We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Academic Manager for our Scholastic Early English Learning Centers in China.

START DATE: January, 2017 (flexible)

SALARY: Up to 300,000 RMB (57.7k AUD) plus benefits

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Development, refinement and quality control of all academic-related materials
- Quality-control of teaching practices
- Conduct teacher training
- Quality-control and refinement of teacher training procedures and practices
- Work with Business Development to develop and refine supplementary education resources and programs
- Teach classes (maximum 7.5 hours per week)

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Significant teaching experience
- ESL/EFL teaching experience
- Development of educational materials/resources
- Delivering teacher training and/or education-related professional development
- Experience in a management role

SKILLS:
- Intermediate-advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strategic thinker
- Excellent communication skills

EDUCATION:
- Bachelor degree or higher in education or related field

OTHER:
- Professional presentation
- Excellent work-ethic
- No criminal record
