Advisor for Humanity and Social Sciences

a) Relevant Research
i) Research on the latest development of disciplines of humanity and social sciences
ii) Research on the latest pedagogies and teaching practices in the above subjects
iii) Research on the lasted reform and target skills of international standardized tests
iv) Research on quality textbooks and teaching resources available
v) Research on target countries’ laws and policies related to subject education
vi) Produce research report in the above area on a regularly basis
vii) Conduct topic-specific research assigned by department director

b) Decision Making Support and Action Plan Proposal
i) Participate in important meetings of academic team and offer insight and advices
ii) Participate in the discussion of important programs and assist department director with decision making
iii) Initiate action plans that will benefit the company or team based on professional knowledge and judgment

c) Teacher Recruitment, Training and Review
i) Work with operation director to predict every term’s demand for subject teachers
ii) Play a leading role in the selection of new teachers, conduct both subject interview and adaptivity check
iii) Play a leading role in subject teachers’ pre-post and on-post training programs
iv) Work with academic director to review and report on teachers’ performance regularly
v) Identify subject teachers who need extra help, make growth plans and offer one-on-one tutoring or mentoring

d) Demo Teaching and Substitute Teaching
i) Upon request, offer demo classes to colleagues about the latest teaching methodology or the use of certain teaching resources
ii) Upon request, when there is a shortage of subject teachers in certain site school, do substitute teaching for a period of time

e) Other Duties
i) Other duties assigned by department director temporarily
