The Job

American Eagle Institute was founded in Taiwan in 1987 and currently has 760 centers throughout the country. Our school opened its first school in China in 2009 and we are continuing to grow rapidly. We offer a learner centered teaching method supplemented by six methodologies to help young learners develop an interest in English learning.

Foreign teachers are given all the tools they need to succeed: up-to-date textbooks, workbooks, teaching guides, online resources, and more . We provide teachers with Teacher Assistants in each classroom and class sizes are between 5 to 10 students per class.

Main Responsibilities 
o Maximum of 20 teaching hours per week 
o Maximum 12 hours admin time per week 
o Plan events and special activities based on Western holidays (Christmas, Halloween, etc.) 
o Attend trainings and meetings 
o Weekend classes with days off during the week 
o Attend the schools annual events

Compensation 
o Excellent salary: 11,000 to 16,000 RMB per month depending on qualifications 
o 3 day free hotel housing for teachers who just arrived in China and assistance finding accommodation 
o 3,000 RMB housing allowance per month 
o Airfare allowance up to 500 RMB per month 
o Legal Z work visa provided 
o Insurance provided 
o Options for 6 month, 1 year, or 2 year contract 
o 11 days national holidays plus 7 days paid holidays per year 
o Staff trips 
o Interest free loan of 10,000 RMB provided which will be deducted in four equal amounts from salaries (2,5000RMB per month) 
o Loyalty bonus of 5,000 RMB for signing the second contract

Requirements: 
o Bachelors degree 
o TEFL certificate 
o Native English speaker from UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Ireland 
o 1-2 years teaching experience 
o Hardworking and patient demeanor 
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
