Scholar Academy is a growing academy located in Apgu-Jung Dong. We have established a reputation as the premier history academy in Seoul and are looking to hire more career teachers. We cater to bright high school students who wish to attend college in America. Many of our students SAT I test scores are in the top 5% of all test takers (2200+ or 1450+ on the old scale) and therefore have no problem with English. As a result, we only hire teachers who have a minimum bachelor's degree from America with a strong preference for schools ranked in the top 25.

We are looking for the following:

1) AP US History
2) AP World History
3) AP Statistics

Because our students are very ambitious, it is preferable that the teacher have a strong grasp of the subject and have taken the test before.

Scholar has an integrative training program. The teacher will spend the first three months observing and training at a set salary. Upon completion, the teacher may receive a rate up to 40,000 per hour depending on his/her performance in training. After the first year, the teacher may be eligible for further performance based bonuses.

The interview process is the following:

1) A sample 20 minute mock class on any topic in history
2) A short 15 minute question and answer session
3) A written Diagnostic test covering either US or World History
