It is not unusual to hear four or five different languages while walking down the city streets and is not hard to imagine what life on the Silk Road was like hundreds of years ago. With all these cultures meeting the food in Korla is as diverse as it is tasty. Walking the streets at night one can smell the lamb kebabs and naan bread cooking throughout the city and only in Xinjiang can you get some of the best food in China.
