Established in 2004 in Beijing, China, Etonkids now has 45 kindergarten campuses across 17 cities in Mainland China. DETAILS & PERKS:

All English Specialist positions are full-time (20-25 teaching hours per week); Monday-Friday; 8:00-17:00; some weekend events throughout the year.

ENGLISH SPECIALIST (EFL TEACHER) JOB DESCRIPTION:

Curriculum Implementation & Management

• Prepare teaching materials during set prep time

• Create original teaching materials each month

• Ensure all Etonkids English curricula is implemented in the classroom

Academic Supervision & Support

• Lead English lessons during scheduled times

• Provide an immersive English speaking environment throughout the day

• Provide feedback and suggestions to other English Specialists in regards to success/useful teaching methods

• Communicate and cooperate with Chinese English Teachers to ensure both parties are on the same page in regards to lesson plan content

Academic Training

• Attend all English Department Professional Development Days

• Attend campus meetings

• Identify developmental needs of students and organize ways to meet these needs

Administrative Duties

• Complete standardized forms as set by the English Department

• Assist Lead Teacher in reviewing and editing all English materials, parent letters, and Student Reports to ensure no language mistakes are made

• Visit the Etonkids English Department website on a weekly basis and contribute

• Attend weekly meetings with classroom teaching team

Other Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet students and parents at the door (model and practice English)

• Maintain good relationships with parents and keep them well informed about their student’s progress

• Represent Etonkids and participate at campus, school, and community events as required

• Adhere to appropriate dress code for working with young students

• Help cover classes in the event of a colleague’s absence

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree

• TEFL certificate preferred

• EFL or other teaching experience

• Early childhood experience preferred

• Native or native-like English ability
