As such, we require a business lecturer to deliver our course content.
Job description:
The Business Lecturer mainly delivers the course content of the business programs of the college. He or she reports directly to the Program Director for Business. The Business Lecturer’s duties include, among others:
• Teaching 25 to 30 hours a week and accomplishing all related duties such as preparing courses, setting exams, grading, and evaluation of student performance.
• Developing and updating teaching resources to keep them current.
• Being diligent and punctual in conducting classes.
• Maintaining high student morale and motivation.
• Assisting in maintaining general college discipline, overall operational stability, integrity, and professionalism.
• Monitoring and enforcing student attendance and punctuality.
• Counseling individual students regarding their academic progress, behavior, and personal and professional development.
• Being available to students outside normal class hours for consultation.
• Liaising with parents or employers if necessary and appropriate to provide both formal and informal school reports.
• Assisting with college marketing and promotional activities.
• Abiding by the college’s policies and procedures.
Job Specification
The ideal candidate:
• Must hold at least a master in business administration degree or equivalent from a reputable institution.
• Must have at least five years of solid work experience in a senior management position or ten years of business experience.
• Must be able to teach subjects related to finance, accounting, business statistics, and operations management.
• Must be fluent in oral and written English.
• Preferably, will have at least one year experience lecturing at the tertiary level or in a training function.
