Job Overview: Canadian schools in China require Canadian Certified Teachers, Principals, and Vice Principals for exciting teaching and school administration jobs .Begin in August 2012 for the next academic year. Many kinds of secondary positions in Math and Social Sciences are available, as well as Principal and entry-level Vice Principal jobs, and some elementary positions are available as well. If you are a teacher with a B.Ed. or if you are a teacher with past administrative experience, and you are interested in working in China for the next academic year - apply today – we will provide you with information about the various kinds of Canadian programs and locations available, and recommend you to the best opportunities– and it’s all 100% fee for job seekers!
Job Details: The school calendar and weekly teaching load is similar to Canada, about 10 months long and about 25-30 hours per week. There is short break at New Years and Christmas but there is almost a month break during Chinese New Year (mid Feb. to mid March). July and August are summer break. Contracts are generally one year and can be renewed based on the mutual agreement of the employer and the employee.
Benefits: Salaries for teachers at Canadian schools can range from $35- $45 k per year depending on the school and location and higher for principal positions. Schools also provide free accommodation and flight transportation, so there is a great opportunity to save each year with the low costs of living in China.
Qualifications: B. Ed. From Canada; US certified teachers may also qualify; New teachers welcome; some administrative experience is required for the VP and Principal roles.
