Opportunity China’s partner, Hangzhou Westbrook School, are looking for dynamic, experienced teaching professionals to teach grade one (age 7) students.

The school operates a blended bi-lingual curriculum; Cambridge Primary Years. Its students are also encouraged to learn traditional Chinese crafts such as paper-cutting, pottery and calligraphy, making this an ideal position for a teacher with creative flair and imagination!

Westbrook school has a large modern campus, with excellent learning and sporting facilities, and is located in the beautiful city Hangzhou famous for its sprawling lakes. The school places importance on teacher training, support and development.

Remuneration Package

• RMB20,000 monthly salary
• Single apartment provided 10 minute’s walk from the school, or RMB1000 accommodation allowance
• RMB10000 flight allowance, paid in two instalments
• Local insurance
• RMB200 monthly food allowance

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related, or Qualified Teacher Status
• If not then a recognized TEFL qualification
• Native English passport holder
• 1-2 years of prior teaching related experience

The successful candidate must have prior experience of:

• Differentiated learning
• Guided reading
• Reading running records
