Job Description:

1. Number of positions available: 1

2. Starting date: August 25th, 2013

3. Working days: Monday to Friday

4. Subject: Mathematics

5. Location: Minhang District, Shanghai

6. Age Range: 13-16, Junior High students

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Degrees: BA degree of Science or Mathematics Education;

Masters or Higher Degree Preferred

2. Time/Experience: Minimum of 1 year teaching experience;

3. Other qualifications: Possession of Professional Teaching Certificate from home country is required

4. Level of English: Native English speaker required

5. When to start: Able to start in August, 2013

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for:

Helping to create a flexible middle school program and class environment favorable to learning and personal growth;

Establishing effective rapport with students; for encouraging and assisting students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for future learning, in accordance with each student's ability;

Establishing good relationships with parents, administration and the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

o Responsible for the classroom management.

o Teaches Mathematics to students in a classroom, utilizing program material

o Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning environment in the classroom.

o Lead and direct students toward fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional, and psychological growth and development.

o Communicates with parents through conferences and other means to discuss students' progress.

o Creates an effective environment for learning through media, functional and attractive displays, bulletin boards, and learning centers.

o Administers standardized tests in accordance with established procedures set for the C Program.

o Maintains professional competence or self-selected professional growth activities and certification renewals as required.

Salary and Benefits:

1. Base salary: 15,000--18,000 CNY/ month before tax ; 20,000 CNY/month before tax for Form Tutor (a Form Tutor will be expected to register and offer guidance to a class of students as well as teach normal classes)
2. Accommodation allowance: Will help to find accommodation near campus
3. Visa given: Will sponsor Z visa application
4. Insurance: Accidental and medical insurance provided
5. Holidays: 2 weeks for Christmas holiday;

Chinese national holiday;

Paid summer and winter holidays;
