1. Job Description

Literature Teacher:
Be familiar with all aspects of the Elan curriculum, the lesson flows, and the quiz schedules
Complete mid-term and end of term assessments that are personalized and constructive
Access Elan resources and plan your Teachers Logs according to the objectives of the courses
Deliver high quality literature, writing, and phonics courses to students including assigned quizzes
Issue and explain homework assignments to students and parents
Mark all tasks that students complete in class and for homework and fill out post-class comments

Library Coach:
Monitor student progress utilizing data analysis •
Be familiar with the Elan curriculum in order to make suggestions for student placement •
Write student assessment reports with strengths, areas for improvement, and recommendations
Motivate the students and foster a love for literature and writing

2. About us

Elan Schools are a subsidiary organization of Bright Scholar Education Group that provide international enrichment programs as extracurricular training coursework for Chinese K-G8 local and international students. Elan's curriculum is designed to improve students' language skills, thinking skills, problem solving abilities and knowledge of global culture. A core feature of any Elan School is their multi-colored libraries that are organised with between 6,000-10,000 audio and regular storybooks that are arranged according to their grade equivalent reading level (GE). Inside the library, a guided reading program is utilized with the assistance of Accelerated Reader and STAR Reading software on iPads which enhance students' learning and allows for advanced data collection.

3. Compensation
base salary: 14,000 to 19,000 RMB per month
Discretional bonus based on annual performance: around half monthly salary
Airfare allowance on contract completion: 8,000 RMB
10,000 RMB start-up loan for accommodation
Annual salary increase
National holidays plus 11 paid holiday
Legal Z work visa provided
1,200 RMB hotel reimbursements
Arrival Support: Airport pick-up
3 full paid sick days
Orientation & pre-job Training, on-going training and academic support

4. Working Hours: 5 days a week, 2 days off on weekdays
5. Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or above
Native English speakers( to meet working visa application requirements)
Prefer teachers who have some teaching experience
