Chongqing University Seeking ESL Professionals for Spring Semester

 
Chongqing University-School of Foreign Languages and Cultures is inviting applications for full time Instructors in TESOL to begin:

Chongqing University is ranked 28th out of 2,236 university and colleges in China. Chongqing University is highly ranked in Engineering, Technology, and Business disciplines. At present, Chongqing University has 28 colleges, a graduate school, the City College of Science and Technology, the College of Continuing Education, and the College of Networking Education. The University now has a total enrollment of 50,000 students, of which 20,000 are master and doctoral students, and 30,000 undergraduate students.

Position:ESL Instructor

Contractual: One year renewable based on performance;

Hours: 14 to 16 hours per week on average;

Teaching: Introductory courses on cultures of English-speaking countries and Listening/speaking English training for undergraduate students;

Salary: 6,000, 7,000, or 8,000 RMB per month depending on experience and degree;

Allowance:Travel allowance provided each semester;

Vacation:One month paid vacation for Lunar New Year, 1 1/2 months for summer, plus public holidays;

Housing:Free furnished two-bedroom apartment provided. Ten minutes walking distance from the University;

Medical: Basic medical care provided at no cost;

Language:Chinese language training provided at no cost by the School of Foreign Languages and Cultures

Orientation: Orientation to Chongqing and University provided;

Airline Ticket: Round-trip airline ticket reimbursed at the end of the contract.

Qualifications:

MA in Applied Linguistics, TESOL, English, Education, Communication or related fields

BA in Applied Linguistics, TESOL, English, Education, or Communication or related fields with 2 years or more of teaching experience in higher education
