CFCIE The Canadian Foundation Centre for International Education (CFCIE) is a Canadian owned educational organization in Toronto, Canada, with the mission to invest and establish Canadian Educational Models of English in China to provide better English education for China’s youth.

Over the 15 years, CFCIE has signed 15 SCIC/SCIS agreements with Chinese universities and government agencies and has invested and implemented the Canadian educational chain model for more than 5 universities and colleges across China. There are more than 25,000 students trained and graduated from the CFCIE chain SCIC/SCIS model programs in Nanning, Chongqing, Guilin and Liaoning, etc. including over 2500 studied and worked abroad during CFCIE's 15 years of operation. CFCIE has placed over 500 Native English Teachers in its SCIC and SCIS as well as the new Chain Kid English training schools named:" Uncle Sam's English House" (USEH) programs from Canada, US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, etc.

SCIC facts:

History: The SCIC of NN was started in August 2001 with 180 students and 4

Canadian teachers. Since then, SCIC has become one of the largest colleges in GXU, and, each year has 1000 to 1200 students and 25 to 35 Native English teachers.

Current year: SCIC has 1000 students and 25 Native English Teachers for the current academic year of 2014 to 2015.

* SCIC was recognized by the National Education Commission of China as “The Most Innovative English Teaching Model for the Teaching-Reforms of English Education at University Level” across China (Awarded 2008)!

Qualifications -

• English first language speaker

• Undergraduate university degree with three years teaching experience or Education degree and teaching experience, both with ESL/TEFL/TESOL/TESL certification

• Masters, PhD’s and linguistics majors sought for curriculum development and PD roles

• Applicants born and educated in Canada, the US, UK, Australia and New Zealand preferred

• Responsible, energetic and creative young and more mature adventure-some people with diverse backgrounds and with knowledge to share, wanted

Compensation package 120,000 to 150,000 RMB plus per year – [combined package of accommodation [2500 to 3000 RMB/month; salary of 6,000 to 9,000 RMB plus/Month; travel allowance of 14,000 RMB/Year as well as paid holidays – five plus weeks, basic medical insurance, etc].

Details below:

• Live in free, fully-furnished Western individual apartments on the university campus [pictures provided]

• monthly salary of 6000 to 9000 RMB

• 14,000 RMB travel allowance

• paid vacations [one week October, four/five weeks January/February plus long weekends throughout]

• Free Mandarin lessons

• Basic medical coverage

• Be met at the airport by staff and students, plus on-going support

Maximum 18 contact teaching “hours” [40 minutes], Monday to Friday, plus 1 [60 minute] hour English Interest Course weekly Two preparations; maximum 80 students, sometimes in groups of 20, sometimes combined

Modern classrooms

EFL and content courses also taught [some examples - Business English, Entrepreneurship, English Literature, Public Speaking, International Film, Famous Books, Drama, Canadian Studies, Multimedia Journalism, Environmental Studies, Philosophy, Critical Thinking, Linguistics, Western Civilization, Eastern Culture, Creative Writing
