Compass IELTS is looking for energetic, and dedicated teachers who are looking for an exciting employment opportunity in Tianjin. We offer intensive Chinese language courses taught by ICA-qualified teachers to those candidates wishing to learn Mandarin. We also offer an internationally-recognized TESOL course to those candidates wishing to improve their teaching qualifications.

Contract terms consist of 22.5 teaching hours per week. Classes take place during afternoons, evenings, and on weekends. Teachers receive 2 days off per week, with usually one of those days being Saturday or Sunday.

COMPENSATION

- a competitive salary based upon qualifications and experience (9000 - 11000 RMB per month)

- candidates with a CELTA and relevant experience could earn an extra 7000 - 10,000 RMB per month (ask for details)

- a housing allowance of 2000 RMB per month

- a round-trip airfare upon completion of a two-year contract, up to the value of RMB 8000

- paid vacation days including all Chinese national holidays, paid sick days and personal days

- a Z work visa, plus all visa costs/medical costs reimbursed

- up to 6 hours of 1-to-1 Chinese classes per week, including HSK preparation, Business Chinese, and other classes, taught by a qualified Chinese instructor

REQUIREMENTS

- hold a university degree in any discipline

- be between 20-55 years of age

- be a native English speaker holding a passport from one of the following countries

- The UK, The USA, Canada, New Zealand, the Republic of Ireland, or Australia.

- CELTA, TESOL Certificate preferred

ABOUT OUR SCHOOL

Compass IELTS was established in 1999 and has since served as the premier education institution in Tianjin for students to improve their English proficiency in order to do well on the IELTS test and flourish when studying, working, or travelling abroad. Compass IELTS is also a training and testing centre for the American TESOL Institute's TESOL course and the International Chinese Language Teachers Association's (ICA) Certifications.

Students at Compass are very enthusiastic about learning English and genuinely interested in learning about foreign culture. Class sizes are small, with an average of twelve students ranging in age from 18-40 years of age. Classes include General English and IELTS Preparation classes. Each classroom is fully-equipped with a projector, computer, and digital whiteboard, in addition to other modern teaching equipment. We have around 10 Chinese teachers and 5 Foreign teachers who work together to teach classes. Our working atmosphere is friendly and co-operative, with foreign management to help you with any professional or personal difficulties.
