 Wuhan Australian international school is a candidate school and soon to be World School for the prestigious IBO PYP programme in Hubei province (verification visit in October 2019). Positions Available: (September 2019)

1. Visual arts and ESL (70% visual arts + 30% ESL)

2. Grade 2-4 Primary ESL teacher (90% ESL + 10% enrichment classes)

3. Grades 4-7 Primary and Middle school ESL/Subject English (70% ESL + 30% MYP subjects including science, CAS and Mathematics)

4. ESL and Performing arts/Sports (ability to teach one of sports, modern dance, classical dance or choral singing in English)

Salary ranges:

Primary ESL/Arts positions

• 14000-16000 RMB/mth (after tax) with experience less than three years

• 16000 – 18000 RMB/mth - over three years experience

Primary & Middle School position

• 16000-19000 RMB/mth (after tax) over 3 years experience required

(Salaries are dependent upon experience teaching relevant age children only)

Other conditions of our offer:

• Official International Baccalaureate PYP training (highly useful for the future)

• Up to 20 classes per week (average 40 minutes)

• All FULLY LEGAL visas, foreign experts certificate, residence permit etc.

• Individual housing provided (not shared, 1 or 2 bedroom flat)

• 35 working hours in total

•  4000 RMB relocation allowance upon arrival

• 8000 Renminbi at the end of the year to help defray initial travel expenses.

• 11 month contract (mid-August until mid-July)

Candidate requirements:

All applicants

•   Native of a country able to issue a work permit as a teacher in China

•   Fluent in English to a native or near native level 

•   Neutral pronunciation - please send a video of your pronunciation if from non-native country

•   University degree in any subject and either two years provable experience in teaching or a recognised 150+ hrs TESOL certificate.

•   Willing to learn difficult to understand curriculum (PYP)

•   Focused on student achievement

•   Excellent classroom management skills

•   Professional attitude and strong workplace ethics

•   Able to work in a challenging multicultural setting

•   Loves children

•   Must be able to provide

  •  Current notarised and legalised criminal background check;

  •  Notarised and legalised education certificates;

  •  Chinese immigration medical check; or

  •  Documentation to transfer from another position in China.
