Dear, Teachers,
A small school (BRIO English , Hakwon) run by a Korean Canadian wife and her Korean husband is looking for two qualified teachers.
We opened school in 2003 and have had 11 Canadian teachers(8 with teacher degree) and 3 American teachers(1 with teacher degree) so far and 3 Canadian teachers are currently working in our school. My wife, graduated UWO in London,Ontario and also got a teaching degree from Redeemer College in Ancaster, Ontario. I'm Korean and had been in LG Electronics, working in Dallas,TX and Seoul before opening this school. We promise to assist in any way we can to help get you settled into town and our school.

[Highlights] We are about an hour's drive south of Seoul in a newly developed residential area (with brand new HOMEPLUS in town). Needless to say, our school is also very new with the latest facilities. But most of all, I'd like to 'boast' (if I may) about our friendly, family-like atmosphere where all the teachers and staff are fluent in English. We have had mostly couples working with us and own a 3 bedroom (34 Pyong which is about 115 sq. meters) apartment for our teachers to live in.
Here are the things we offer:
1. 2.3M to 2.6M won raw salary based on experiece and qualification for 30 teaching hours a week. Only 3.3% tax is deducted from the monthly salary. Overwork payment is 22,000 won per hour, if teacher agrees to work more. Teachers will teach English for elementary students, middle school students, high school students and adults (conversation class).
2. We provide 3 bedroom apartment for couple. Owned by school, no need to pay rent. It's different from one room studio in busy city.
Teachers pay utlities, water, and internet. Fully furnished including 55" HDTV, a wash machine with dryer, a fridge, utensils, beds, and other furniture with lots of closet space. The school is located in a modern, clean apartment residential town. Life here is cozy, not crowded, and within a 10 minute drive to Pyeongtaek lake and the West Coast of Korea.
3. Fully support Korean National Pension Plan.
4. 1 year bonus(severance payment) is paid when you finish the 1year contract. (If teachers extend their contract, they will get another bonus at the end of their second year as well). 8 teachers out of 14 made extended contract after 1 year with us.
5. No weekend work. 1 week paid holiday in summer and Lunar new year holiday(about 4-5 days) in winter.
6. National health insurance (50/50). Round-trip airfare ticket.
