Creative, Dynamic, Friendly and Responsible Teachers Needed

Canadian Language Institute is a fast growing, private language school with two branches, one in Montequinto and the other one in Alcalá de Guadaira, both locations are 10 minutes by car from the centre of Seville. Our constant and accelerated growth is due to the uniqueness of the communicative approaches used for language acquisition, the dominant force in the mastering of a language. The uniqueness of the approaches is nurtured by our teachers who have to be very expressive because it is through acting and gestures, which students do along with the teachers, the means we use to convert the language into comprehensible input, the essential ingredient in language acquisition. This process is interpreted as fun, enjoyable and stress-free, not only by the students, but by the teachers as well who simply have to be .

The over 500 students enrolled in the school range in ages: 4 years old to adults, 85% of them being between 8-14 years of age. The school offers English, Business English and Spanish through our recent affiliation with Instituto Cervantes. Because these are extracurricular activities for children, and an added task to an adult’s schedule, we emphasize the fact that our classes are not a continuation of school, not a burden for a busy businessman, yet the results are evidence that learning is still taking place. Our teachers have to deal with all the age groups, classes for children and teenagers beginning at 3:45p.m. to 10:00pm, Monday through Thursday and for adults, either in the morning or in the early afternoon, or late evening. No classes on Friday afternoon. The starting salary is 12€ an hour.
