Eal/esl Teachers Needed
The British School of Nanjing
Eal/esl Teachers Needed
The British School of Nanjing (BSN) is an international school for expatriate children. It is the first school to offer the British Curriculum in Nanjing and is one of the fastest growing schools in the region. BSN is part of the British Schools Group – a British education group with schools throughout Asia. The school is run completely under foreign management and more than half of the staff are expatriate professionals. All teaching is in English, but up to 30% of the students are under our EAL/ESL programme and receive additional support to access the curriculum.
BSN is seeking professional expatriate employees for the following positions:
Teaching Assistants: Teaching Assistants work in class alongside a teacher to deliver the UK curriculum to classes of up to 22 children. In particular the Teaching Assistant supports and works with small groups - usually those for whom English is not a first language - in the classroom, as well as assisting with preparation and planning for lessons. These positions would suit those with an interest in pursuing a teaching career and developing their resume.
An experienced EAL/ESL teacher to work in a team of 4 supporting children in each Key Stage both in class and in withdrawal sessions. This position would suit someone wishing to move into International education.
Requirements: Applicants are expected to be native-speaking, have a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years post-graduate work experience.
All of these positions include a return flight allowance (equivalent to London-Nanjing return ticket), full international medical insurance, furnished accommodation, a 12-month contract, generous holidays (200 working days in total) and a good salary - alongside the opportunity to work and live in Nanjing, China's former historic capital.
For more information, see our website: http://www.bsn.org.cn or contact us directly at matthew.shephard@bsn.org.cn
To submit your application, please send a covering letter and recent CV including date of birth and a digital photograph, along with the names and contact details of 2 referees to matthew.shephard@bsn.org.cn
Interviews will be carried out through Skype.
