The AIEN Institute of Shanghai Ocean University is the English teaching centre for a joint venture between the Shanghai Ocean University and the University of Tasmania, Australia. The Institute was established in 2002 and through the University of Tasmania offers a four-year Degree program with majors in Information Management and Information Systems and International Marketing. Graduates receive a degree from each of the universities. Currently over 1600 students are enrolled and over 3300 alumni are around the world.



The English Department at AIEN Institute is responsible for delivering an Academic English Program which integrates advanced level General English; English for Academic Purposes; Business English and tertiary level study skills. In addition, the Department provides English training programs and provides continuous English support for AIEN students.



The English Department has recently begun delivering a Listening and Speaking program to non-English majors across Shanghai Ocean University.



AIEN Institute welcomes the qualified and experienced English teachers to work with us.



Minimum qualifications and experience required:



- Bachelor’s degree



- TESOL certificate or postgraduate diploma/degree - minimum qualification CELTA/Trinity Certificate or internationally recognised equivalent



- At least 2 years experience of secondary or tertiary teaching in a TESOL or Academic English Program
