Teacher required in Beijing, China
Our school is looking for a full-time teacher to teach English to small groups of children to begin in early/mid-December. The school has a small and friendly team who work hard together. Currently the school is being modernised and it offers a comfortable and well-run working environment in which teachers can do a professional job.
There are a maximum of 20 teaching hours weekly. Saturday and Sunday are busy days, on Wednesday-Friday there are only 1 or 2 lessons in the afternoon/ early evening. Monday and Tuesday are days off. All materials are provided and there are minimal office hours.The position has been popular with teachers who want a lot of time off to focus on their own projects because of the light workload.
There is a Chinese speaking adult in each class and there is western management support for teachers. This means the position is excellent for inexperienced teachers as well as those who have been teaching for a while.
We offer:
1. Guaranteed monthly salary of 1 depending 8,000-20,000RMB/ month depending on qualifications and experience
2. Overtime pay if teaching hours exceed 80 hours/ month

We need: (these items are necessary in order to get a visa)
1. University Bachelor's Degree (or higher)
2. Holder of a passport from South Africa, the UK, USA, Ireland, Canada, Australia or New Zealand
3. CELTA,TESOL or TEFL certification (120 hours, online is acceptable). Assistance can be provided for otherwise qualified candidates to get a Chinese government sponsored TEFL.
4. Clean criminal record check
We want:
1. Applicants are expected to commit to a 1 year contract
2. Interest in, and ideally experience of, working with young children
3. A team player who will be able to help the school grow.
4. Someone able to work in a different culture and be sensitive to cultural differences.
