ELT positions in Oman for qualified native & Non-native speakers of the English language
Hawthorn Muscat English Language Centre requires ELT lecturers to work for
the Ministry of Higher Education Colleges of Applied Sciences in Rustaq for the 2012-2013 school year. approved candidates are required to join immediately.
subjects to be taught: (General Translation, introduction to lingustics, language acquisition, Children Litrature, Contemporary Letrature & Poetry, language through the art, oral/aural language skills development, syntax and structural semantics, advanced reading and writing, gramer and usage, ELT methods of teaching, phonetics and phonology,morphology and lexical semantics, creative writing, ELT school curriculum analysis, communicative language teaching development,sociolingustics, psycholingustics,etc)
Working hours start at 8:00 A.M. until 4:30 P.M. from Saturday to Wednesday.
Thursday and Friday are non-working days. The total number of teaching hours is only 20 per week.
Salary Package:
1.) Monthly tax free salary:
Bachelor’s Degree holder (RO 935)
Master’s Degree holder (RO 1000)
Doctor’s Degree holder (RO 1160)
* 1 Omani Rial = 2.6 USD
2.) Free air tickets to Oman and back to the country of origin
3.) Free Medical Insurance
4.) Free fully furnished accommodation
5.) Initial one year contract, renewable for one year on mutual agreement
6). 60 (sixty) days paid leave per completed year of service (5 days per month)
7.) Gratuity pay (one month basic salary per completed year of service)

Requirements:
1.) Accomplished CV
2.) Scanned copies of qualifications, certificates, work testimonials, passport, and
colored photo (passport size)

1.) Native speaker of the English language
2.) English major or graduate of any relevant course from accredited schools
3.) Minimum of two (2) years ELT teaching experience in tertiary level
