University Background 
Founded in 1940 as part of the provisional capital of China, CQUT has over seven decades of experience in higher education. During this time, CQUT has emerged as a regional leader in scientific research, training facilities, academic rigor, and attracting high-quality faculty and students. 
CQUT has three campuses. Huaxi Campus is the main campus, situated in Ba'nan District--just a quick bus ride from the heart of the city--on a beautiful 150-hectare campus; Yangjiaping Campus is the old campus, where CQUT originated and most foreign teachers live; and Liangjiang Campus is the newest campus, where all CQUT freshmen and students of CQUT international programs study. 
Today, there are 24,000 full-time students (including 1,008 graduate students) studying 55 undergraduate programs and 39 graduate programs in 17 schools and 56 research institutions. 
CQUT remains focused on engineering and technology, and holds robust programs in language, business and computer science. A faculty of 1,300 teachers works in the university across all disciplines.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree or above with 2-year Teaching Experience. 
• TEFL/TESOL/CELTA Certificate Preferred

A Brief Job Description 
Foreign Teachers at CQUT work 250 Teaching Hours (45 minutes) per semester in the form of: 
• In-classroom Courses (class size is usually within 40), 
• English Conversation (Office Hour), chatting with students with topic(s) decided by both the teacher and the students (class size is about 10,) 
• Lecture (once every semester if required), and 
• English Activities.

Note: One Teaching Hour is 45-minute in-classroom teaching; 
One Lecture is considered as 5 teaching hours; 
One English Activity is considered as 2 teaching hours.

Compensation Package for Full Time ESL Teachers 
1. Monthly Salary: 6500-7500RMB, 7000-8000RMB and 8000-9000RMB respectively for a Bachelor's degree, a Master's degree, and a Doctor's degree; 
2. 500 yuan plus per month after the first contract; 
3. 100 RMB for every extra Teaching Hour if the total workload exceeds 250 Teaching Hours in a semester; 
4. Paid winter and summer vacation within the contract period; 
5. Telephone allowance: 60 Yuan/ per month; 
6. 500 RMB settling-in allowance, one time only. 
7. Insurance (Comprehensive Insurance & Protection Scheme for Foreigners Staying in China of Ping An Annuity Insurance Company, Ltd.); 
8. Free return tickets for one-year contract; 
9. Housing: free apartment on campus with TV set, air-conditioner, fridge, washing machine, hot water device, furniture and cooking utensils, etc.; 
10. Electricity and water use: free water, 400 kW free electricity; 
11. Free internet access; 
12. Free physical inspection; 
13. Work visa / residence permit; 
14. Join international students' Chinese class for free

7. recommendations from your previous employer (best from educational one) 
8. ¡°No Criminal Record¡± Certification: one official certification from authority of home country. 
9. PHSYSICAL EXAMINATION RECORD FOR FOREIGNER (done in a public hospital with hospital stamps on photo and signature page) 
10. Proof of two-year teaching experience 
11. For accompanying family members, besides documents of No.2, and No. 10, family relation certification by Chinese Embassy or consulate is needed.
