English and American History / Government

Public high school in China is looking for two teachers for its international program. This will be the seventh year of the program. Students will learn English literature, ESL and American history and government in grades 10, 11 and 12 in preparation for entering American universities. Small class sizes of 10-12 students for four to five hours per day. Jinhua is a small city south of Shanghai. The surrounding mountains are perfect for hiking and fishing. This is a very wealthy province in China with many touristic and historical towns nearby. 

Benefits include: $3,000 per month, a one bedroom furnished apartment, utilities, visa and travel expenses, medical insurance, many paid holidays and a small travel allowance. We have two openings, so teaching couples without children are welcome to apply. 

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in English or Social Science, two years teaching experience preferably at the high school level, teaching credential or TESL certification, adventurous spirit and flexible attitude. Must be under 60 years old (Chinese visa requirement) without dependents. Valid passport. Travel experience helpful.
