English Language Teacher -beijing

The Korean International School in Beijing is looking for one teacher (currently in China with a work permit) to teach English Language to Elementary students. The contract starts:  February 22^nd, 2021 to February 21^st, 2023.

Working hours are Monday to Friday: 8:20am – 4:30pm. Teachers are contracted to teach up to 20 classes per week (each class is 40 minutes). Teachers may be required to teach extra classes for additional pay. Duties include teaching English Language from set student books, in addition teachers are expected to make extra materials too. Teachers will also make final examinations for the end of each semester. Class sizes are between 10 to 25 students and divided into levels based on the student’s English language ability.

Requirements:

1. Native English speakers
2. Bachelor’s degree or above
3. At least 2 years related teaching experience
4. Have a recognized ESL teaching certificate (TEFL/TESOL/CELTA)
5. Currently be residing in China, and have a work permit

Benefits:

1. Starting salary 15,000 RMB per month (extra incentives paid to teachers holding a teaching license or a master’s degree)
2. Teachers will be paid 210 RBM per each class over 20 contract hours
3. Housing allowance of 8,000 RMB per month, or 9,000 RMB for families of 3 or more members
4. Retirement bonus equal to one month’s salary paid at the completion of each contract
5. Around 3 months paid vacation per year (winter about 7 weeks in January and February, summer about 5 weeks in July and August)
6. Chinese medical insurance paid by the school
7. Z visa sponsorship
8. Optional after school program between 3pm – 4:30pm daily (paying 330 RMB per 60-minute class and 440 RMB per 80-minute class)
9. Optional winter and summer classes during vacation (paying 540 RMB per 80-minute class)
