English Language Teacher Needed in Shanghai


The SHU-UTS SILC Business School at Shanghai University was founded in 1994, and was the earliest Sino-foreign cooperative business institute established in China. In 2014 SILC celebrates its 20th anniversary. The founding partner university is the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS). The SHU-UTS Business School is looking for English Language Teachers commencing in the 2nd semester on 17 November 2014 or ASAP after that. The full-time positions run to the end of the academic year (June 2015), with the possibility of renewal.

Essential Criteria:

• An undergraduate degree or above

• A recognized EFL/TESOL, linguistics or education qualification (e.g. CELTA, Dip Ed)

• A minimum of two years full-time teaching experience (preferably at university level)

• An ability to work as part of a team

Desirable criteria:

- While not essential, applicants already residing in China and holding: a Residence Permit (working or spouse) with validity until the end of January 2015 or later, AND a Foreign Expert Certificate (except for holders of a spouse visa) are especially encouraged to apply.

- Experience in Academic English, Study Skills, English for Specific Purposes or Test Preparation English

Conditions

- Salary packages, including base salary, an accommodation allowance, a travel allowance and a meal allowance range from between 16,100RMB and 17,100RMB / monthly.

- Additional benefits include: 6 week paid Chinese New Year holiday, medical insurance, payment of 1 return flight ticket per year, incentives to re-sign after 1st year, performance bonus, and comfortable working conditions within a professional teaching environment.
