English Language Teachers for the 2014-2015 Academic Year Needed in Shanghai

The SHU-UTS SILC Business School at Shanghai University was founded in 1994, and was the earliest Sino-foreign cooperative business institute established in China. In 2014 SILC celebrates its 20th anniversary. The founding partner university is the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS). The SHU-UTS Business School is looking for English Language Teachers for the 2014-2015 academic year, starting late August 2014. The full-time positions run to the end of the academic year (June 2015), with the possibility of renewal.

Essential Criteria:

• Applicants must already be residing in China, holding: a Residence Permit (working or spouse) with validity until 1 October or later, AND a Foreign Expert Certificate (except for holders of a spouse visa)

• An undergraduate degree or above

• A recognized EFL/TESOL, linguistics or education qualification (e.g. CELTA, Dip Ed)

• A minimum of two years full-time teaching experience (preferably at university level)

• An ability to work as part of a team

Desirable criteria:

- Experience in Academic English, Study Skills, English for Specific Purposes or Test Preparation English

Conditions

- Base salaries are between 9,000RMB and 10,000RMB per month (dependent on qualifications and experience).
