English Language Teachers Needed in Shanghai

The SHU-UTS SILC Business School at Shanghai University was founded in 1994, and was the earliest Sino-foreign cooperative business institute established in China. The founding partner university is the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS). The SHU-UTS Business School is looking for English Language Teachers to commence late August 2015. Applicants must already be residing in China with the appropriate work permit. See Essential Criteria below. Full-time contracts are offered for one academic year, with the possibility of renewal. SILC has a very high staff retention rate.

Essential Criteria:

• An undergraduate degree or above

• A recognized EFL/TESOL, linguistics or education qualification (e.g. CELTA, Dip Ed)

• A minimum of two years full-time teaching experience, unless you hold a EFL/TESOL qualification (above)

• An ability to work as part of a team

• A current Chinese Residence Permit (working) with validity until the end of July 2015 or later, and a Foreign Expert Certificate.

Desirable criteria:

- Experience in Academic English, Study Skills, English for Specific Purposes or Test Preparation English

Conditions

- Starting salary packages, including base salary, an accommodation allowance, a travel allowance and a meal allowance range from between 16,100RMB and 17,100RMB / monthly.

- Additional benefits include: 5 week paid Chinese New Year holiday, medical insurance, payment of 1 return flight ticket per year, incentives to re-sign after 1st year, performance bonus, and comfortable working conditions within a professional teaching environment.
