We are currently looking for inspired, qualified, and adventurous teachers to join us in Shanghai.

U-Learn contracts include a competitive salary, airfare allowance, and many benefits (details discussed at a later time and according to one's education and experience).

The following are two locations that we are currently accepting candidates who can start September 1, 2013.

1. Subject Teachers at the Shanghai World Foreign Language Middle School

(WFLMS)

Established in August 1996, Shanghai World Foreign Language Middle School is located in the southwestern part of Xuhui District in Shanghai. The Xuhui District is generally seen as one of the most important education areas in Shanghai. The WFLMS is privately run and implements the I.B.O. (International Baccalaureate Organization) program.

Serving grades 6-12, the School’s mission is to produce students who have a competitive edge academically and have the ability to contribute to society in meaningful way, both locally and internationally. In partnership with U-Learn, the WFLMS takes significant steps to prepare its students for college and university life, whether it be in China or abroad.

We require several teachers who will be able to work in the Middle Years Program (MYP), Diploma Program (DP), and Bilingual/Local sections of the WFLMS for the 2013-2014 school year beginning September 1, 2013.

A breakdown of our current position openings is as follows:

MYP (Middle Years Program)

· Mathematics teachers (2 positions)

· ESL Reading/Writing teacher (1 position)

DP (Diploma Program)

· English B teachers (5 positions)

Bilingual/Local Section

· ESL Reading/Writing teacher (1 position)

Ideal candidates have the following qualifications/characteristics:

· A major in the subject they are teaching

· At least 2 years teaching experience is preferred

· Teaching credentials are preferred

· TESOL/TEFL/CELTA Certification (or other equivalent cert.)

· Likeable personality

Teachers at the WFLMS will be required to do the following:

· Fulfill a contract from September 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014

o Can be extended (resigned) indefinitely

· Work from 8am to 4pm (Monday through Friday)

· Teach no more than 20 hours per week

· Teach on some weekends (due to government directives, etc.)

o Will be informed in advance

· Attend some meetings or trainings before/after school

o Will be informed in advance

According to U-Learn’s currently outstanding contracts, the WFLMS is prepared to offer the following salary and benefits to its teachers:

· Base Salary: 12,000 RMB per month (not including living allowance)

o Applicants may be offered more based on qualifications

· Living Allowance: 2,000 RMB per month

· Airfare Reimbursement: $1,000 per year

· Paid Vacation Weeks: 3 (Winter break, including Spring Festival)

· Paid Sick Days: 7 per year (not including holidays)

· Unpaid “Compassionate Leave” Days: Up to 10 days per year

· Health Insurance: 100% covered by U-Learn

2. High School Subject Teachers at Suzhou US High School Program Center

Suzhou High School Affiliated with Xi’An Jiaotong University is a top public day and boarding high school in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province (20 minutes by train outside of Shanghai). Established in 2004, the school is already recognized for its internationally focused education programs, and received a Four Star Title by the Ministry of Education in 2011 - the highest designation awarded to a public school.

The school is unique for having a US Program Center (USPC) that is devoted to helping Chinese students prepare for post-secondary education in the United States. The US Program Center currently hosts Dual-Diploma exchange programs with several US high schools.

We currently require one Language Arts, one Visual Arts, and one History teacher for the 2013-2014 school year starting September 1, 2013.

Ideal candidates have the following qualifications/characteristics:

· A major in the subject they are teaching

· Native English speaker (American or Canadian is preferred)

· 1-2 years experience is preferred

· TESOL/TEFL/CELTA Certification (or other equivalent cert.)

· Experience with ELLs is preferred

Teachers at the Suzhou USPC will be required to do the following:

· Fulfill a contract from September 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014

o Can be extended (resigned) indefinitely

· Work from 8am to 4pm (Monday through Friday)

· Teach no more than 20 hours per week

· Teach on some weekends (due to government directives, etc.)

o Will be informed in advance

· Attend some meetings or trainings before/after school

o Will be informed in advance

According to U-Learn’s currently outstanding contracts, the Suzhou USPC is prepared to offer the following salary and benefits to its teachers:

· Base Salary: 10,000-12,000 RMB per month (not including living allowance)

o Applicants may be offered more based on qualifications

· Living Allowance: 2,000 RMB per month

· Airfare Reimbursement: $1,000 per year

· Paid Vacation Weeks: 3 (Winter) + 4 (Summer - if contract is extended)

· Paid Sick Days: 7 per year (not including holidays)

· Unpaid “Compassionate Leave” Days: Up to 10 days per year

· Health Insurance: 100% covered by U-Learn
