English native speaker needed for university teaching position at CIT. Changchun, Jilin

5500 RMB/month. 16 teaching hours/week. Apartment provided. Accident insurance. Up to 10K RMB return flight. Paid leave during term break and official holidays. Foreign FAO liaison.

What we offer:
5500-6000 RMB/month
• 16 teaching hours/week
• Off campus housing; apartment provided
• Free accident insurance.
• Paid leave during term break (mid January to the beginning of March and mid July to the beginning of September) and the official holidays (May Holiday etc). Winter and summer break bonus of 1100 RMB per break.
• Reimbursement of return air-ticket or 10000 RMB (minus taxes) at the end of each one-year contract.
• University covers all work visa costs
• Teacher training and curriculum assistance
• Overtime paid at 120 RMB/hour
• Foreign liaison to the Foreign Affairs Office

What we need:
• Native English speakers from the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand.
• Bachelor’s degree (or above) and two years working experience.
• Teaching experience preferred.

Changchun Institute of Technology (CIT), located in Changchun, the capital of Jilin Province in Northeastern China, was founded in 1952. CIT has a longstanding exchange program with the University of the West of Scotland, and one of the teaching tasks is preparing our students for their studies abroad. While CIT focuses on engineering degrees, it aims to integrate English into their non-English Major curriculum, fostering international cooperation.
In addition to preparing exchange program students, teachers will also provide mandatory and elective courses for English Majors e.g. English Speaking and Listening, Online Reading, Film Class, as well as Speech and Debate.
