Responsibilities

- Educate Chinese English learners in four aspects of language acquisition: listening, speaking, reading, and writing

- Teach group classes, small group classes, and one-on-one tutoring sessions

- Collaborate with Chinese Assistant Teachers in lesson planning, building classroom culture, and creative teaching

- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff for school wide special classes and events: Summer & Winter Sessions, special holiday celebrations, and variety of out-door activities through out academic semesters

Minimum Qualifications

- Native English Speaker

- College graduated or equivalent certificate

- Minimum of 2 years of experience post graduation in related field

Skills or Related Knowledge

- Must have passion and joy for working with children

- Must be open-minded to cultural and societal diversity

Position 1: Full-Time Teacher at English Training School @ YMCC

[Work Logistics]

Salary: 9,000 RMB per month

Starting & Ending Date: August 15, 2014 – July 31, 2015

Living Accommodation: 1,200 RMB per month allowance OR Pre-arranged shared apartment with 2-3 fellow teachers

Teaching Hours: Monday-Sunday 15 hours per week with 2 days off per week

Office Hours: 12 hours per week

6,000 RMB airfare bonus after a successful completion of contract (paid at the end of July)

Paid month of August upon renewing contract for an additional year

- 2-Week Winter Break based on Chinese Government and School Calendar

- 1 Month Summer Vacation

Position 2: Full-Time Teacher at Jia Xiang Elementary School Innovative Class *a pilot program at a regular school under YMCC philosophy and innovative curriculum
