Hours: 18 teaching hours a week

Schedule: Two consecutive days off every week

Requirements:

- Native English Speaker

- Bachelor's Degree (or higher)

nb. Teaching experience and/or TESL certification is preferred but not compulsory

Shane English School is situated in Hangzhou, a medium sized city which is often described as being the most beautiful city in China.

Our school is a private language school that specialises in teaching 7 - 18 year olds, although we do have some kindergarten and adult classes as well. Basically, we try to teach our students in a fun and interactive way, so they can learn English but also learn a little about Western culture and what life is like in foreign countries. Chinese students tend to be overworked and spend most of their time studying, so they really appreciate our classes and enjoy the freedom and the chance to be creative.

We teach around 18 hours a week, which doesn't sound like much, but when class planning time is added to that, it is a full-time job, especially at the weekends, which is our busiest time. That said, there is plenty of time left over to experience Hangzhou and China.

We currently have seven teachers from Ireland, England and Australia and we all really enjoy living and working here. One of the best things about our school is the atmosphere of friendship around the place. We all socialise, help each other out and all of our teachers are given the support they need to enjoy their adventures in China and become great teachers.

You will be given full training before you start work and the school will provide all of the resources you need to effectively teach your students and develop your educational skills.

We will help you with every aspect of your move to China and we offer full visa sponsorship, assistance in finding accommodation, an accommodation stipend and health insurance for the duration of your stay.
