English Teacher for Kids in Shanghai Needed With Decent Pay

We are Popular, the most prestigious book publishing and bookstore brand name in Asia, with over 90 years of experiences. In 2015 we set up the first CBeebies English Learning Centre in Shanghai, China in coopeartion with BBC from the UK, and we have openings for difference centres in Shanghai.

We offer English language education to kids from 3 to 12 years old, and our curriculum is based around Early Years Foundation Stage, focusing on all-round education of kids.

Job Responsibilities:
1) Teach and deliver a range of English language courses and levels and activities to kids aged from 3 to 12 years old, working in close collaboration with our local Senior and Junior English Instructors;
2) Plan and prepare lessons and teaching materials;
3) Communicate with parents;
4) Manage and support children learning English within the Centre and take part in a variety of learning events and festivals;
5) Support the work of the Centre through providing exciting, learning experiences involving music, drama and other language arts.

Working Schedule and Teaching Hours:
1) Work Wednesday to Sunday, and take Monday and Tuesdays off;
2) Total of 40 office hours, the teaching hours are up to a maximum of 22 hours per week.

Educational qualifications and Skills required:
1) Bachelor degree or above in English or a related area of study;
2) Excellent communication both verbal and reading in English, native speakers of English required;
3) Relevant experience of teaching English to children in Mainland China (always preferred);
4) Cultural awareness and sensitivity;
5) Enthusiasm for teaching Chinese children English using a variety of approaches, appropriate to age, level and context
6 ) Ability to work within a close knit team or local and other international language instructors
7) Professional values and attitudes towards teaching
8) Able to demonstrate suitability to work with young children as part of a professional teaching team
