English Teacher in China Wanted

Position:English Language and Culture teacher

Courses include College English, Oral English, English Writing, English Speaking Countries: A Survey and some others.

Work Load: 14-16periods of teaching per week (period is  40 minutes)

Position Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree or higher

2. Native speaker of English

3. For applicants without a TESOL/TEFL degree, at least 2 years teaching experience or a 120 hour TEFL/TESOL/TESL certificate.

Zhejiang Normal University is a teacher's straining college in Jinhua (pronounced "jean-hwah"), Zhejiang province. It is ranked in the top 100 out of the more than 2, 000 universities in China. It is the national flagship school for China-Africa studies and is espeically strong in education, maths and science research.

About Jinhua

Jinhua is a "small" Chinese city, with population of about one million people, but is a 2 hour train ride from Shanghai and 6 hour train ride from Beijing. Our park-like campus is a 10-minutes bus ride to the downtown Jinhua area, and a 15 minute bike ride to villages in the mountains. The enviroment allows international teachers to experience a traditional side of China, while still having easy access to major metropolises. The clean air,low cost of living, beautiful, earned Jinhua a place on the "Top 10 Most Livable Cities in China" ranking.

About teachers

There are over 1500 Chinese teachers and 50 long-term full time international teachers. We have a very low turnover rate for international teachers, with most teachers enjoying themselves, the students and the life in Jinhua so much, they stay 3-4 years. The International community on campus is supportive and close-knit group, helping newcomers adapt quickly and well to the new environment.
