English Teachers Grades 1-3, at Bilingual School in Honduras

Minerva School is a private bilingual (Spanish-English) school located in the center of the historical city of Gracias Lempira in Honduras. Gracias is a major tourist area of Honduras, having the tallest mountain in the country (Celaque), delicious Hot Springs, as well as being the root of the Lenca Civilization.

Minerva School has a total of 490 students, 15% of which are of limited resources and are sponsored by the school. The school has all grade levels from pre-school up to eleventh grade.

Our education at Minerva stands under three basic principles:

• Christian formation

If you are interested in teaching in the developing world, Minerva School gives you all the accommodations to do it. Spanish is not necessary, and from others’ previous experiences, you can even end up learning it by interacting with the children and the community.

To teach at Minerva, you are required to have a Bachelors degree (in any field) or TESOL or ESL certification. Teaching Certifications and experience living abroad are preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills as well as principles of responsibility and commitment.

We have positions available for grades 1-3, as well as high school mathematics and physics.

The benefits in coming to teach at Honduras are a monthly Honduran professor salary. Living accommodations, visa arrangements, health aid are provided by the school.
