English Teachers Needed

The Position

Shane English is looking for fun, friendly and outgoing teachers with a keen interest in young learner development. Teach English to students between the ages of 3 and 16. Teachers will have a mix of classes that will equip them to teach students of all ages. Shane English schools maintain the highest standards in education by providing excellent course materials, technology and an engaging learning environment.

We are currently interviewing for our positions for our public schools. Teach grades 1 - 5 in some of the best equipped schools in Shanghai. Teach on average 20 hours a week, Monday to Friday (8am - 4pm)

We are also recruiting for our language centers in China. Positions are available for immediate start. Teach between 16 and 22 hours a week (Saturday & Sunday included), 5 days a week. With this position, there are no office hours beyond the hours you are contracted to teach.

Teachers will always have a senior member of staff with whom they can discuss any aspects of their work. Also, each school has a full time welfare officer to help teachers settle smoothly into living in China and provide ongoing assistance on all matters that may otherwise prove difficult with the language barrier.

Working Visa

SESC sponsors all teachers for their visas and covers all associated costs except the initial entry visa.

Qualifications

We would like to hear from candidates who are;

- Native English Speakers from Canada, the UK, America, New Zealand or Australia

- Have a recognized EFL qualification (TEFL/TESOL /CELTA/DELTA)

- Have a university degree

- Teaching experience preferred but not essential

-Are outgoing, enthusiastic, positive, sociable, hard-working, patient and professional

-Are looking for a challenge and enjoy working with young learners

Salary and Benefits

The monthly salary for teachers with all qualifications is guaranteed between 8500 RMB and 12000 RMB per month (depending on experience). All teachers also receive a number of extra payments throughout the year to assist with health insurance, 16 - 22 days paid leave as well as a performance bonus and an end of contract bonus.
