Application Process:

Step 1

1.Complete the online application form and submit the Terms and Conditions from our website: http://www.ihw-elec.org

2.Submit the following: A color copy of your passport, your CV (with education qualifications), and a handwritten essay

3.After all documents have been submitted, a telephone interview will be held to assess your spoken English level

Step 2

1. Upon receipt of your full application and all support documents, we will inform you of your acceptance to the program within 5working days.

2.You will receive an invoice for the program fee, once this is paid you will be placed with a host school in China.

Step 3

1. You will receive a Letter of Invitation within 15 business days of paying your program fee. This letter will be used to apply for your visa at your local Chinese embassy.

2.A handbook and orientation letter will be issued to you.

Step 4
Arrival in China!

1. Please bring your travel policy of insurance and general medical check-up letter to China

2. We will arrange airport pick-up and you will check into your accommodations.

3.You will begin orientation, our teacher training program, and summer camp.


Finally, you will begin teaching at your semester internship!

After our training program and successfully completing the TEFL program, interns will be sent to their host schools where accommodations will be provided for them.

Interns are responsible for:

•Creating weekly lesson plans

•Working closely with students and their host school

•Participating in afterschool activities that aid in cultural exchange

•Working 15-20 hours a week

•Fostering the academic growth of their students
