English Teaching Positions Available March 2018

The School of Foreign Languages at Beijing Normal University, Zhuhai Campus, Zhuhai, Guangdong, P. R. China is looking for native speakers of English to teach around 20 hours per week.

Duties will be to teach a mixture English language classes and some academic classes. The School is keen to recruit teachers qualified to Masters or PhD level in the fields of Linguistics, Language Teaching, Education, or Literature who are able to teach classes in one or more of these subject areas in addition to ESL classes.

Applicants qualified should ideally hold a certificate in teaching English as a second language, and have at least 2 years experience of ESL teaching or of teaching abroad.

Because of work permit restrictions, applicants should be under 60 years of age.

Summary of Benefits:

Salary is paid on a monthly basis for a 12 month contract, and is based upon classroom teaching hours and Degree held.

For teachers holding a PhD, salary ranges from 14250 RMB per month (before income tax) for 18 teaching hours per week to 17417 RMB per month (before income tax) for 22 teaching hours per week.

For teachers holding a Masters degree, salary ranges from 10830 RMB per month (before income tax) for 18 teaching hours per week to 13236 RMB per month (before income tax) for 22 teaching hours per week.

For teachers holding a Bachelor degree, salary ranges from 9120 RMB per month (before income tax) for 18 teaching hours per week to 11146 RMB per month (before income tax) for 22 teaching hours per week.

Individual accommodation free of charge (an apartment with sitting room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom; air conditioners, TV, washing machine and refrigerator). The teacher is responsible for electricity and water bills.

Air ticket reimbursed upon completion of a one semester contract up to a maximum of RMB3500, and upon completion of a whole academic year contract (two semesters) up to a maximum of RMB7000.
