Entry Level English Teacher - China Based

First Leap is a Chinese publicly-traded education company. Established in Beijing, China in 2009, First Leap provides much-needed quality after-school English training for Chinese children aged 2- 12 years old. First Leap combines English language immersion with its own curriculum, creating a fun, motivating, learning environment. First Leap is now recruiting for multiple English teachers from the United States.

About the position:

First Leap’s language immersive learning curriculum requires the teachers to teach different subjects in the English language. The subjects include but are not limited to Art, Drama, Science and World Culture. An established curriculum will be provided to all teachers with detailed guidance. First Leap’s standard workweek consists of 32 hours. A standard workweek will be from Wednesday until Sunday, with two days off: Monday and Tuesday. This is a full-time position based in Beijing or other major cities in China.

Job Responsibilities:

-Implement First Leap’s curriculum in a manner consistent with the unique needs of each child
-Create a learning environment that supports and enhances curriculum activities
-Assess each child’s progress
-Attend staff meetings and other meetings as required

Qualifications:

Native English speaker
-A Bachelor’s degree or above
-TESOL or TEFL certificate or equivalent certificate approved by China
-Prior teaching experience highly desirable
-Enjoy working with children
