We are seeking a passionate and highly qualified instructor who possesses the drive, skills, and experience necessary to provide top-notch ESL instruction and curriculum development in our Beijing office.

Responsibilities

This instructor will have two primary responsibilities: teaching and curriculum development.

Teaching:

- Teach both private and group lessons to students who are in grades four through twelve and who possess varying degrees of English comprehension

- Plan rigorous lessons that develop students’ English reading, writing, and speaking skills

- Assign and grade weekly homework

- Complete detailed student progress reports

- Build strong relationships with both students and parents

Curriculum Development:

- Develop the overarching curriculum for Capstone’s ESL program

- Put together short- and long-term measurable goals for Capstone’s ESL students that will track students’ progress and ensure they make demonstrable improvements

- Ensure that lesson topics and objectives align with the curriculum’s principal goals

- Assist other instructors to implement the curriculum in their classrooms

Qualifications

To ensure that we fulfill our education goals, we are looking for individuals with the following qualifications:

- A university degree, preferably in Education, English as a Second Language, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus

- At least one year of prior experience teaching English as a second language

- Demonstrated project management skills

- A genuine interest in education and how to improve it
