We are a highly respected K - 12 boarding school with a quickly developing International Department that includes ESL and French studies. The school is famous for attracting highly talented arts students and many have gone on to wonderful careers in the arts. We have sister schools in America and Europe and offer our students regular student exchanges.

Our standards for teachers are very high and we seek experienced ESL instructors with

at least 3 years of teaching experience. Those with state teaching certificates will receive preference.

Teachers with strong credentials, resumes, and verifiable letters of recommendation can expect to receive salaries amongst the highest offered for beginning positions anywhere in China. Our housing is private (no roommates unless you prefer such), very modern, clean, comfortable, and walking distance to the school. Free meals are available at our commisary 3 times per day (and the food is nutritious and tasty!).

Our current teachers also run the Drama Club and Visual Arts and Sculpture Club. Do you have well-developed talents in the arts? Dance, music, etc? Guotai School could be a perfect outlet for your creative talents.

Many parts of Hangzhou have been designated UNESCO world heritage sites -- the famous Xihu (West Lake) and Lin Yin Monastery with its Song Dynasty Zen cliff carvings are just two examples. The city offers a wonderful mix of ancient and modern China. It is clean, the people are sophisticated and very friendly, the food is delicious, and the lifestyle is relaxed.
