Shane English School in Ping Yang is made up of four schools with a total of 800 students, 11 foreign teachers and 30 local teachers. The school boasts a modern fresh design and up to date teaching materials and technology.

Students

The majority of our students are young learners aged from 4 to 14 years old and teachers enjoy teaching to a variety of ages throughout the week. Teachers’ assistants are also on hand to help with classroom management and translation.

Teacher training and support is seen as key at Shane and we provide a one week training program at the start of your contract as well as on-going training and support in the form of workshops, seminars, class observations from your Academic Manager.

Ping Yang – The County

Ping Yang is located near the major city of Wenzhou in Zhenjiang province in the south east of China, not far south of Shanghai. There are two main cities in Ping Yang county, Ao Jiang and Kun Yang. For those looking experience the authentic side of China in an area not heavily populated with foreigners that also has a pleasant climate and plenty of exciting places to visit in the province, Ping Yang is the place for you.

Job Duties

· 25 hours teaching per week

· Lesson planning

· No additional office hours

Compensation

· Excellent salary: 8,000 – 9,000 RMB per month

· Housing allowance: 300 RMB / month in town branch, 800 RMB / month in city branch

· Flight allowance: 3,000 RMB

· Legal ‘Z’ work visa

· 10 days public holidays

· Contract completion bonus: 4,000 RMB

· Performance related bonuses: up to 2,000 RMB / month

· On-going training and academic support

· Free Mandarin Chinese lessons

· Promotion opportunities to Senior Teacher and Academic Manager within the Shane network

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree

· Native English speaker from UK, USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand

· Teaching experience preferred
