About Zigong:

Zigong is located around 200 km south of Chengdu in Sichuan. It is quite a large city with around 4 million people. It is developing fast and has lots of modern amenities, however, it does not have the western influence of other cities, so not much western food etc. To some people this may be a blessing though.It is home to many major Dinosaur discoveries and has an impressive dinosaur museum. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside and great opportunities for weekend travel (The Bamboo Sea, often featured in movies and television, is only a couple of hours away). Chengdu is not too far either for a fix of slightly more modern life. If you have a bit of the adventurer in you, this might be the position for you.

About the school:

The school is a so-callled 'semi international' school although all of the students are local Chinese. Some of the classes are taught a more international curriculum and spend a lot of time on multicultural themes and promoting a bi-lingual environment. The other classes are 'domestic' classes that follow the Chinese curriculum with English teaching on the side.

About the Position:

You would be working alongside two other overseas teachers (so 3 of you in total) and four local English teachers, making up the international department. You would expected to take one of these 'international' classes for half a day and spend the rest of the time teaching ESL to the 'domestic' classes. You would also be expected to get involved in extra activities based on your own hobbies and interests. We are looking for August/September start.

GA Education runs 33 kindergartens, a children's English school and two elementary schools throughout Chengdu in Sichuan province China. We currently have 55 foreign teachers employed and are the only private school to be rated with 5 stars for foreign teacher management in Chengdu.
We have an excellent reputation for treating our foreign teachers well and on average our teachers stay for 3 years and sometimes up to 12 years.

BENEFITS:

Salary: 10,000-12,000 RMB/mth (depending on experience)

Start date: Sept. 2016

Hours: 20 teaching hrs/week (actually less) plus some office hours;

REQUIREMENTS:

* Applicants from English as primary language countries only

* University degree in any subject

* MUST have at least 2-3 years full-time work experience in any profession but preferably teaching

* Some experience with children and preferably teaching preschool and kindergarten age.
