ESL Teacher

TEACHING ABROAD (THAILAND) is currently hiring for Intensive Communicative English Program teaching positions for the this academic school year (2013/2014) which runs to Febr. 2014.

Benefits:
• 25,00 baht salary per month plus 300 baht per hour over time.
• 9 month academic year contract that can be extended for additional year and additional benefits.
• Guaranteed yearly 3% cost of living pay increase minimum.
• Medical insurance paid.
• 1-2 weeks paid vacation (additional week for additional years).
• All Thai government holidays off with pay (13-21 days annually)
*These are mandatory government holidays in addition to the paid vacation.
• 2-4 Paid personal/sick days.
• Assistance in obtaining a Non-B visa.
• Visa extension & work permit.
• Required "Thai Culture Course" for Work Permit/Visa.(Done by Company)
• Assistance (if needed) in locating housing.
• Airport pickup.
• Yearly professional development training.

Working Conditions:
• Teaching hours range from 18-24 a week.
• Class sizes range from 25-40 students per class with air conditioned classrooms.(Depending on school)
• School hours are approximately 08.00-16.00 Monday to Friday.(Depending on school)
• Curriculum and lesson plans.
• All teaching materials are supplied by the school.
* Classrooms equipped with LCD projectors so Power Point experience is needed.

Responsibilities:
• Teach assigned subjects to assigned classes as per schedule provided.
• Adapt and deliver lessons from Interactive Chalkboard.
• Modify and adapt lessons to meet the needs of your class.
PLEASE NOTE: All lessons are delivered via notebook /computer using PowerPoint.
• Maintain weekly office hours.
• Maintain student grading/assessment.
• Attend office meetings or professional development held during office hours (if/when needed).

Minimum Requirements:
• Native English Speaker (Passport and Degree from USA, Canada, UK, Australia,Ireland).
• Bachelor's Degree.
• TEFL/TESOL Certification.
• Police Clearance.
